MAPPING’s dialogue with stakeholders gets into full swing this autumn

At the core of MAPPING’s approach is mobilization of and dialogue with a wide spectrum of ICT-related stakeholders and social actors. Efforts to this end commenced in May during the Extraordinary General Assembly. MAPPING’s dialogue with stakeholders intensifies this September as the partners organize a series of events in their respective countries and in Belgium. These events take the form of coordinated and comparative consultations of stakeholders, by means of Focus Group discussions.
This exercise will revolve around the three main, interrelated, problem areas considered in the project: those of Internet Governance, Privacy and Intellectual Property Rights. Based on all the Focus Group results a report will then be compiled – one of the many documents that will later inform the process when creating MAPPING project results including the Action Plan and workable policy guidelines.
